Bryan Eisenberg has several books out, particularly geared toward conversion and Maria Veloso has one that's good for highly promotional sales copy.

I like the following book which is mainly focussed on writing good web copy rather then PPC Creative (although the skills gained can easily be transferred):

Author: M. VelosoThat's Maria Veloso, I bought her book the same time I bought the Eisenberg book. She is dy-no-mite with writing promotional copy! A bit more aggressive than I'm comfortable with, but she does get into the theory behind the psychological triggers for conversion, which is more or less translatable and capable of being dummied down for those of us who are a bit more conservative and subdued.
