How does Google decide which interior links to show when expanded listings show up? I.e., in the example below (a search for "hybrid cars"), www.hybridcars.com showed in the first position and was accompanied by 4 additional links within that site. Is there a way to manage what links show up? thx!

In my opinion its based on the content of the page and if you are getting links for that internal page for specific keyword what the page is talking about ...e.g. if you are searching for prius then rather than the hoem page the internal page shows up since thats the page that talk about prius in detail and not the home page ... and if you have been getting people to link to the prius page with anchor text "prius" ... as for managing those pages are concerned, thats the only way I can think of doing it ... and hope that the search engine also understands the site setup that way u have organized it ... I am not sure if that answers the question .... if not let me know

I appreciate you taking the time to reply. I'm not sure that's what's going on here. The search was just for "hybrid cars"; no mention of any interior content such as "prius" in the keyword search. If you search for "Nissan", the same thing happens. And strangely, I looked at a number of auto dealer sites and they all had exactly the same secondary links below the main T&D. It seems like this is probably due to the fact that a lot of car dealers use the same Web site templates, so the site structures are probably identical.

thanks again for taking a look at this, though!
