I am about to lose a linking partner that has a very powerful site. Its page rank is a 6. I currentlly have a link on everypage of there site there are over 100 pages. This is by no means my only linking partner but it is my biggest. I know I will lose some traffic from there site but how much will this effect my search engine placement? Any ideas.

It's hard to tell, maybe something, maybe nothing, maybe a lot more. Do something, get some new links.

I would not assume this means that you are about to lose the link reputation of 100 links. You may only be losing the equivalent of one link from the highest PR page that links to you (which would be the PR of the linking page, not of the home page, of the site).

It's generally agreed these days that 100 links from one site don't count as much as 100 links from 100 sites.

My own feeling is that having 100 links from a site is a strong indication that there's some sort of special relationship, most likely that the links are advertising. It's therefore possible that the links may not confer link love and that their loss may not be any loss at all.

Please report back if you see some effect. I'm curious what it is. On the other hand, if I were you, I would cloud the results of the experiment and do as bsaric suggests: get some new links.
