Getting FREE traffic

Hi all at S.E.W,

I have recentlly setup my website and I am
wondering if anyone could explain some FREE ways to get myself some traffic
as i am on a limited budget and cannot afford to pay for high ranked
search engine submissions etc.

first suggestion would be niche forums.That's if they allow links and/or sigs; if it's topically compatible it might bring some direct traffic. For pursuing backlinks for linkpop, again - not all forums allow links/sigs and not all links are created equal.

The best route is to find ways to advertise reasonably (and targeted), pursue quality links, and learn the basics of SEO so the site is search engine friendly and crawlable.
