I have noticed when I was considering buying traffic there are businesses that encourage you not buy traffic on there google site description,. When I clicked and they explained a way of getting traffic new to me. Here is how it words Everyday we purchase abandoned domain names that have traffic on them. These domain names had a previous website on them that fits into our targeted categories. Basically, all we do is redirect that traffic coming from these websites to your website. These abandoned domains have traffic on them, and the previous owners either listed them on search engines, on lists and marketed them so you now reap their hard work by having us direct this traffic to your website. This type of redirection is better than popups (web surfers don't like popups, it interrupts their online browsing) or popunders.

I strongly doubt something like that would be useful in any significant way. How many people are actually still visiting "abandoned domains" once they find out the site they were looking for is no longer there? I really don't see how any of this could help rankings, at most it would be a few very temporary extra visitors.

Thats total waste of money.

Better option will be to with PPC like Google adwords etc as you will get atleast value for your money !!
