one question of google indexing

Hi all,
i have a question here. the number of page indexed to my website by google SE surpasses Y! SE a lot recently, from April/ May , but before April, the number of my website's indexed pages by Y!SE is a lot more than Google SE. (i didn't update my site these months). Does Google update its SE algorithm in the past few months? It's an interesting finding. Does anyone have the same situation as me? thx.

Hi Jeffweng,

Both Google and Yahoo! had their updates this year (Yahoo! has been more frequent) so one way or another that might have some effects on your indexed pages.

I have not noticed this on my sites.

Could it be just that by Yahoo's criteria your site is not indexing worthy and Google thinks otherwise? Hard to tell really without looking at the site, your backlinks and a lot of other things. could be anyting from your site being down just the very moment Y!Slurp was visiting to whatever.
