Why did I do it? Was ranking on first page of G for nearly all search terms (some quite competitive) representing a hotel group when at request of client, I "aliased" to his .com of the same site. Duplicate content, which it seems, is a big no-no.

Anyway, upshot is that the well-ranking .co.uk is nowhere and has lost PR 04 to n/a, whilst the .com is ranking poorly with a PR of 0!

This is not good. At first I suspected a G PR re-shuffle, but having checked data centres, it appears to not be the case...

So, I'm up the creek with a paddle, and taking on water fast! Anyone want to rescue me???

Thanks in advance for all life-rings thrown in my general direction.

Sounds like you may also have a linkage problem, what's the Url?

I can see that you have a PR of 2 and that you have a few sites linking to arlington Hotel Group. As a travel advertising man, I would say that getting other sites to link to individual sites is a challenge, but you can always advertise on www.eurodestination.com and similar sites which will not just deliver qualified users but a better page rank too.

You also need to place a 310 redirect to prevent the SE's indexing both www and non www versions of the site = duplication, something I have recently been stung for too.

301s in place... PR has dropped then! Hey ho... will also take a look at Eurodestinations. Depsite fact that some of the backlinks are from PR 5+ sites, and, there are more backlinks than some competitor sites... go figure! Still, the site is receiving plenty of bookings which is the main thing.

Thanks all.
