I wrote a simple Windows program to generate bounded keyword permutations for pasting into AdWords keyword lists. It's freeware:
AdWords Keyword Permutation Generator (http://www.seo-help.com/html-tools/adwords-keyword-permutation-generator.html)

I like the web based versions of similar tools better as there is a pretty full featured free online version located here

That's pretty neat! Thanks. I was not aware of that before. It doesn't do the same thing as my tool though.

they are different, but his is the best of breed keyword list generator on the market in my opinion.
there is a function in MicroSoft Excel called congate (or something like that) which does a similar thing to the tool I mentioned

Hello everyone. One of our customers told us about this thread and recommended that we post our tool.
The keyword list permutator that we developed for our clients can be found at http://www.ConversionLabs.com/apps/master.php
Documentation is forthcoming . . . Basically you put keyterm list based on semantic concepts into boxes 1,2,3 and generate lists into the brown box on the right. If you like the list, you click Add to Master. You can use boxes A B C D as storage containers that make it easy to reshuffle your words and build different combinations. You move lists from one box to another by click on the destination boxes link in the host boxes header. You can add quotes or brackets to your generated lists by clicking on "?" or [?]. You can dedupe the list in the Master by clicking on DD.
There are a couple of very basic edit options for lists, i.e. like "add s versions". More features are forthcoming, e.g. smart plurals and gerunding.
The Export to PowerPost puts the Masterlist into another tool for making trackable links for Google. It is pretty ConversionRuler specific, but we could genericize it considerably if people were to find it useful for other purposes.
At this point, you cannot save your project, but that is also on the table and would be easy to do should there be interest.
I'd be curious to know what people think.

The Excel function is actually "CONCATENATE" and it will allow you do the same. I use an Excel template that I created for AdWords, so all I have to do is insert keywords and destination URLS per keyword (mass copy and paste) and the CONCATENATE function generates the result for easy inclusion into AdWords.

First and only post makes this border on spam... but it is a handy little thing so welcome aboard.
Good to see Google Ads... lol... but when I looked Google was one of the two advertisers... nice to have them pay you for a change

ahhhhhhhh...yes, yes...sorry...I'm in "promotion mode" and have been searching for all "adword tool" threads to post to...very sorry!
The AdSense program is actually pretty fun to watch...makes you realize how "hand and glove" webmasters and Google really are ;-)
Yes, I noticed too Google advertising on my site...now that is really funny! Also they post ads for "Fresh Opt-in Email lists" on my main page.
Anyway, for my second post I would like to thank searchenginewatch which I was reading years and years ago ;-)

Hey AussieWebmaster, I liked your first warm welcome better than the second!! But, no worries...I was sliced and diced on some technical newsgroup last year and now I am 99% flame-proof! ;)
Well, I love my tool and it is free and has the super top secret skip a space function which is really the only valuable typo in my opinion. As far as spamming, I'm posting on target in relevent forums and also providing great content for the web...so I would consider that more marketing than spamming.
And, of course, I do remember 5 years ago reading 10 - 30 copies of the searchenginewatch...so it is great to see it still around!

Mine has a few cool features that the others lack, better usability in general, and a lot more cool stuff planned for the near future (like the ability to save custom lists to auto-populate the boxes).

I use it all the time. =)
