HEY EVERYONE..

Quick question - lets say I'm optimizing a site about Website Design. The name of the company/website is New Media Concepts for example.

When I am doing the ALT TAGS, is it ok, if the image at hand is a promotion image, to put the ALT TAG as "Website Design Promotions"? Is this keyword stuffing?

Would it be better to put, "New Media Concepts Promotions"?

Thanks in advance,

Cheers

How about the ALT read "Website Design Promotions - New Media Concepts"?

if you remember try to use a . at the end of the alt tag to help screen readers know when to pause.

Remember that the image text is also designed for those who are disabled or turn off graphics. If you are describing navigation, make sure that you are also describing what the image is if needed so these particular users are able to understand what the images are about and where the navigation may lead to.

That would not be keyword stuffing at all. Also keep in mind that most search engines ignore alt attributes unless they are related to an image that is hyperlinked to another page or site.

Really? I didn't know that one - thanks for the tip.

 any examples of overstuffing a keyword into an ALT tag?
