My ads just dropped of the Banner spot!?! HELP!!!

I run the advertising for an e-commerce site that sells many name brand products. Back in April we started advertising a new brand and by the end of June it was one of our best performing brands. We had very high placement on Adwords pretty much across the board with most of our search terms showing our ad in the banner placement. For some reason earlier this week our ads for this brand just completely dropped out of the banner positions and for some reason no matter what I do it seems that I can not get them back into it no matter what I do. We are almost always the one that is just off the banner spot.

This isn’t the case with our other campaigns, just this one, and for all the words.

That has also happened to at least one of my company's clients. They were always #1 and have dropped to #4. I think something big is afoot - a major change in the way Quality Score is determined?

I've progressively bumped up my client's bid price to over $40 - no effect.

Then there is a good chance the ads have been dropped by the handful of people running banner ads. The publishers have the option to drop any advertiser.
