Looking at the use of AdSense... content search... it had a rough start but has seemed to be making a bit of a come back.
When we first started testing it we found that the visitors converted a lot less and mostly were not worth pursuing when we had yet to max out our possible spends on the search side where the CPA was so much less...

Now it seems the publications are being better vetted and the ads more appropriate, and we have reached the saturation of the search for a good portion of our terms (the solid ones anyway - are still searching and working the fringe terms).

So it is time to try the content dance again... hey have to have the interns play with something...

Does anyone have any techniques to share?

Tips and tricks would be nice... I will start putting a few in as I get back into the swing of content search.

I forgot who told me this, it was a big PPC guy, he said he always opts out of contextual ads when possible. Sorry I cant be of more assistance here.

setup duplicate campaigns
one for search and one for content
leave content disabled in the search campaign
on the second group enable content and bid lower prices

not too long ago Kevin Lee (big PPC guy :) ) stated that they were finding that Google's new discounting methods actually made AdSense a vialble option for many of their clients for the first time.

I was recently told by Ask Jeeves that their prices are set by factoring what they could make from AdSense if they dropped what they have now!!!
