Most of our Yahoo listings show up as the non www version of our pages. The problem is that the only pages that we rank well for happen to be the few www version of our site that is listed on yahoo.

Our urls in our urllist txt file all begin with http://www. and we are using 301 redirects to resolve to www. if anyone accesses the site without using www.

Does anyone know why Yahoo may be doing this and how to replace our listings with the www version of the site?

Thanks in advance.

Hey Chicago,

I was having problems with getting some pages indexed by Yahoo!

It seems to me, from my experience with 3-4 clients that Yahoo does not like non www pages.. at all. The best way to fix this issue is to use a 301 redirect from the non www page to the www page, however, before you make this suggestion to anyone check to see what pages are indexed in Google and make sure your 301 isn't going to cause your rankings to slip in the other search engines.

In your case if you have the 301 in place now I would give it a month or two and see if the pages start getting added to Yahoo!
