Banned or not?

Hello,

I have a couple of questions:

1) I'm suspecting that I've been banned from google, how can I know this for sure?
2) It's my subdomain that disappeared from google over night, it disappeared from all the international googles as well, and there are no cached snapshots of it, but my domain is ok, I heard that if a subdomain is banned then the domain is also banned, is that true?
3) Is there a chance that it's temporary and google just updates it's datacenters, and my subdomain will reappear soon? Can websites disappear temporary?
4) My PR bar isn't gray, and I heard that it's gray when a website's banned, altough it's been just some 10-15 hours since I noticed it's no indexed...

I've seen a couple similar threads around the Internet, might this be some kind of an update?

Welcome to SEW Forums! ;)

First off, Google is still in major flux after Big Daddy, so I would wait a bit and see if anything changes. Also check multiple data centers.

Pages have been going in and out of the index a lot lately.

Here is a long, but excellent thread on how to tell if your domain (sub domain in your case) is banned:

Here's a tool http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum5/4584.htm that may be helpful (I've never used it on a truly banned site, so I'm not sure how accurate it is).

I'm not sure if a sub domain getting banned will take out the domain.

BTW, have you been doing something that you THINK may have gotten you banned?

Setup Google Sitemaps if you haven't already. You can learn about errors on your site and potential problems which may affect your rank.
