Hi,
Really hope this place takes off, I know how much hard work must be involved.
Don't like to start on a bum not, but - there is one teensy weency flaw with the forums - their download speed on dial up.
Obviously you're in Beta, too, so everything's not finalised yet.
I'm looking at between 8 and 20 seconds (yes!) at 44k before there's anything to read. Then up to a further 20 seconds before the page has completely finished loading.
This compares with between 2-6 seconds on High Ranking and Creasite.
It all depends on how many posts are on the page, whether or not it's a new browser window, etc.
The ads and images are visible first for ages, then the text appears, then little graphics start popping into place all over the page.
Another thing is that on HR and C8 you can almost immediately scroll down the page as the page is loading. You can here (eventually) but the page scrolls in a jerky fashion.
Also, sometimes the fluid layout bangs into place disconcertingly as I'm reading, sometimes there's no fluid layout and there's a scrollbar at the bottom of the page, don't know what that's about.
As you can imagine opening multiple windows on dial up and hopping between them is a test of patience.
Just thought you ought to know.
Richard
