we have used images in our site insted of text to provide links to other pages , we have provided alt tags instead of tittle tags to those images
as a mater of fact the images in a perticular page will reflect the use of that page and will have the keyword as alt tag which is targeted in that perticular page.
will crawler think that we have stuffed keywords by using alt tags.

Have you?
Until someone with a better understanding can answer, I think alt attributes are fine as long as they are a short description and not a jumble of keywords. You probably don't want every image to say pretty much the same thing either.
Just my 2 cents.

At the SES NY one of the speakers says if you have to say it use text not images! ... i remember the speaker been very strict about this so that's why i use the ! :D

If you can find a hybrid solution, go with that. On my web site we used to have a graphical navigational system which people loved. They could quickly scan our web site and see exactly what we had to offer.
So instead of using just gfx links, I also included text links right next to them.
ie
used to be:
gfx
gfx
gfx
Now it's:
gfx
text
gfx
text
gfx
text
On the other hand, did I notice any major changes in my rankings? No.

from what i've seen your inner links won't help you very much to increase your ranks or position but it's good to give the serps a good idea of what's on your inner pages, to use text link instead (or and also) image links is some basic seo i think... again i'm sticking with what i heard in the SES if you have something to say use text
from what i've seen your inner links won't help you very much to increase your ranks or position
Test it and see if it has no effect ;)
