I've heard that the PPC area on Google gets only about 12% of the total usership. Supposedly the organic content gets about 75%. Can anyone point me to where I may be able to find more definitive info. on this?

Probably the best "information" or "definitive info" you can get regarding this is the eye tracking study (http://www.enquiro.com/eye-tracking-pr.asp) of the Google search results pages.
However, consider that a combination of good organic rankings and good PPC listings will get more clicks than a PPC listing or an organic ranking alone.
