Since the web community has all noticed that Google SERPS have been acting especially weird lately...I decided to do some more research and analysis.

Today I concentrated on Google (GGL) localized data centers outside of the US and what I found is pretty startling.

Check it out....here (http://66.102.11.104/search?hl=fr&q=site%3Awww.yahoo.com&btnG=Rechercher&lr=lang_fr)

When I do a search (http://66.102.11.104/search?hl=fr&q=site%3Awww.yahoo.com%2Findex.html&btnG=Rechercher&lr=lang_fr) for www.yahoo.com/index.html and check the cache...this is what I get (http://66.102.11.104/search?q=cache:VOpr2oNk3_EJ:www.yahoo.com/index.html%3Fser%3D15+site:www.yahoo.com/index.html&hl=fr&ct=clnk&cd=1)

3 out of 5 search results!

Please note, as of this posting...the cache date for the example above is March 22, 2006

If you would like to try a different language, simply edit the letter after hl= and lr=lang_ in the original Google search. For example, Germany would be hl=de and lr=lang_de http://66.102.11.104/search?hl=de&q=site%3Awww.yahoo.com%2Findex.html&btnG=Rechercher&lr=lang_de

I monitor several GGL data centers closely throughout the day. I have included the list below this message. If any GGL data centers listed do not work, please advise this thread. Also, if you know of any GGL data centers and they are not listed below, please advise this thread. The more eyes we have on these DC's the better, IMO.

shouldnt you be doing a site: search for yahoo.fr since France requires that all french websites be in the french language. site:yahoo.fr returns 227,000. site:yahoo.com in google.com (english) returns 382,000,000. I dont think the french version of Google would return any results from yahoo.com since its not in the french language.

ok, for the sake of clarity....let's try it in German this time

Steps:

1. go to http://66.102.11.104/intl/de/
2. type into the search box "site:www.yahoo.com"
3. click the "Suche Seiten auf Deutsch" button below the search box
4. click "Google-Suche"

1 result should be returned. Where's the Yahoo homepage?

Just simply replace "site:www.yahoo.com" in the search box with "site:www.yahoo.com/index.html"

Click the cache (Im Cache)

The cache date should read March 22,2006
