Has anybody been using Urchin Campaign Tracking?
I was curious if there were any issues with tracking and calculations.
I have been testing it for a while and there is a minor discrepancy between my in house tracking tool and Urchin.
Is the cost data you receive from Overture and Google Adwords accurate?
Also how do you manage to get the cost data for the keywords from Overture??

I haven't fully utilized the campaign tracking module yet, I have not yet put in cost data for some clients.
But if you think it will help, I am pretty sure I can get an Urchin Rep to come here and talk about it.
Would you like that?

I talked to them 2 weeks ago and they couldn't tell me anything specific.
My issue is I am trying to setup automatic cost data import. Urchin is sure that Google Adwords sends the report everyday automatically but Overture doesn't.
I would be a great inconvenience to get the report everyday manually and load to Urchin to analyze.
Please let me know if you can pull Overture and Adwords data automatically everyday.

Here is Urchin's official response:
Thanks for bringing this post to our attention. Unfortunately, Urchin is unable to automate the importing of cost data from Overture at this time. Overture provides a programmatic interface to read (and write) this data and charges customers for its use. This programmatic interface is used by some companies to update bids in real time (write-access), and is essentially a product that Overture sells. It hardly seems fair, however, for Overture to charge customers who simply want automated read-access to their own cpc data. We are asking Overture to make a read-only programmatic interface available. Once such an interface is available, we will be able to automate cpc data downloads.
We urge Urchin customers and other cpc data users to make their needs known to Overture. It certainly seems that it would be in everyone's interest for Overture to offer a read-only programmatic interface to cpc data as part of the advertising service for which its customers already pay.
Please post and pass this information on to anyone who needs it.
I am personally not aware of any automated tool to do this.

I don't know how long more they are going to keep on ripping people off.
I think what they are trying to do can be "they are trying to establish a monopoly". If I have an Overture accoutnanad paying them $18,000/month I should be provided with all the functionalities and reporting capabilities they have.

Vural, who do you feel is ripping you off?

Overture of course. Why can't Overture offer a read-only programmatic interface to cpc data so an Overture Cutomer I can use it to analyze my campaign? Why do i have to use their marketing console to get that data?

I am sorry, I am a strong believer of automation and I feel your pain.

The ROI Tracker can get reports that they can integrate into the pricing... but the tracking companies I know of and use do not get real-time numbers but have the cost reports every 6 or 12 hours.
If you are drilling deeper then arrangements need to be made like the bid management tools have.
