Multiple Domains to One website

I have read on Google's guidelines it is bad to have 2 sites with duplicate content.

I have my current site www.briandoakes.com and I registered www.designdevelopdream.com today.

Would it be bad to Web Forward via the Network Solutions account manager the 2nd address to my current www.briandoakes.com site?

the web forward just took effect so I checked the header and it is showing a 301 permanent move.
