A more up to date guide?

The sticky topic 'search engine marketing 101' was written two years ago, as were the main guides on the searchenginewatch.com/webmasters/ page of the site.

Where can I find more up-to-date guides? I know the forum is still active, but I'm looking for a concise guide (that is not 2 years old).
