To get it effected, possibly you should wait till for google next update, BTW You should optimize the "keyword", its playing important role in ranking.

SEO isn't everything. Another way to promote is using press releases. Try and make a newsworthy story about your site and generate a buzz about your site. This can get bloggers, news sites, forum posters and others to write about your site.

Most ot the PR sites are filled with plenty of PR news, I dont think all are newsworty and real. Secondly I doubt the visitors are reading complete news rather than the "head line". IMO SEO is a recommended way to go with, it might be not everything but it is something that a webmaster can not simply ignore.

Incentives. If you've got a huge site with very little users, give away full access until your numbers are where you're more comfortable. You've got to be charging for something I assume, so stop charging until you've got enough people that can word-of-mouth you into further growth.
The most used methods for promotion are:
SEO
CPC ads
Classified ads
Press releases
Article syndication
Viral mini-courses
Viral ebooks
Developing an affiliate program
Non-Reciprocal linking
Reciprocal linking
Banner exchanges
Creating related content sites that feed into the main site
Direct marketing (offline)
Positioning yourself as a subject matter expert in forums
Submit to major directories
Submit to niche directories
RSS and blogs.
