Hello, SEO experts,

I started a site 3 weeks ago, which gains good popularity. It is online game.
Now I have incoming links from 2 sites with PR 5, from 3 sites with PR4, and many links from sites with PR3 and lower.
I guess Google will give me a good page rank after a month and half probably.
But tomorrow I intend to make the domain local. Now it is somename-it.com and will become somename.it
Will this slow down Google giving me a PR? Will google start indexing my page as it is created tomorrow?

Thanks in advance.

PR is based on inbound links, so yes, it will effect the PR as you have no inbound links to the new domain.

If you 301 redirect the old site to the new and ask the people you know had linked to the old site to link to the new one instead that should help, PR updates about every three months (or every three hours at the moment I'm told, which might be good or bad depending on your state of mind) so if you do it fairly quickly it probably won't effect you too much - in theory the next PR update would be mid June.

IN terms of google indexing your new site, getting one or two good inbound links to it is the best way to do that too.

But really don't get too hung up on PR :)
