The blog thing has raised a lot of questions, is it one guy, is it many, is it even a guy?
I know the truth.
The reason for the GoogleGuy nick is that the person behind it is still signing on.
[maybe only the Brits will get that but its been a bit serious round here lately]

hehe, thats where it comes from!
For those not of the Brit working class army there exsited a huge culture of working whilst still claiming unemployment benifit. You had to go to the benifit office once a fortnight and "sign on" that your weren't working. The classy guys would roll their overalls down to their waist as they stood at the counter signing on.
It is also the reason why the Lone Ranger wore a mask, he was also signing on.
