Not bitching but I looked up my page rank for certain keywords and used overture to see how many searches a month are done on those words. I have only been ranked for 2 days so I am not panicing yet. Just wondering if many people have seen this, and does anyone know a factor to multiply the overture results by to "estimate" how many times those searches are done on google ??

Rank # of Overture searches monthly
# 3 1500
page 3 (top) 22000
page 2 (top) 7500
page 3 (top) 12000
page 2 (bottom) 1000
page 3 (top) 700
# 10 325
# 7 300

So as you can see I am in the top 10 for searches that total 2125 a month and in hte top 3 pages for searches that total close to 46,000 a month (for 2 days mind you) and I have had 0 hits from those KW's. The title and description are good, maybe they have not been listed on all hte data centers yet ???

I've seen this more often than you realize. Those tools are just guesses. Most search terms have less traffic than you'd think. Long tail searches always add up to more visitors, IMHO.

Does that mean instead of KW KW you think people search via long sentences ?

like

where can i find a kw or a kw ?

Exactly. When those tools show you the number of searches for "blue widgets", they're also including figures for "blue widgets cheap" and "blue widgets fast" and other variations. The real money comes from getting visitors on the 3, 4, or more keyword combinations.
