BigDaddy Going Where..?

So, Like any, I am keeping an eye on the BigDaddy Google update.

My query is, right now I am seeing more spam on the first page of the results then I have ever seen.

Is this just a case of BigDaddy update allowing a small loophole in Google right now, thus allowing spammy sites to creep in temporarily?
