Hi all
I have one small problems one of my client site hosted on usa based server domain is regested to usa server,
Now if he checks his keywords from usa location in yahoo engine he lost on sixth or seventh page of the engine.......
The same keywords if i checked from india it produces good result on yahoo at 1 and 3 position.....
Till date the keywords r doing well in both USA and india location to yahoo engine.
Can any body tell me whats probs this time.....
Thank you
It does matter - but it's very hard to pin down. I can switch between UK and US web proxies and can see the difference but the SERPs are fluid enough to make analysis tricky.

I am facing this probs for particular one keyword only
how to over come this situations.
I think the challenge is to show the search engines that your site is as useful to Internet users in India as it is to Internet users in Canada (for example).
I imagine that by ensuring that Canadian sites (topic, WHOIS and IP) and Indian sites both link to you.
Of course, the search engines are pretty sophisticated these days and I believe they have an idea of who visits them so ideally you would want Yahoo toolbar users in Canada and users India actually visit the site. I reckon a good few SEW users would disagree with that comment though.

The only experience I've had with this issue is with Canada Yahoo and MSN. When I had a site or two physically hosted in Canada, even though they had rankings that weren't exactly great at main Yahoo they were up top at Yahoo Canada for the Canada only search, and also got traffic from an MSN supplied engine (ISP I believe) that was exclusively Canadian.
I do believe there's a different algo for Yahoo Canada, and the physical location of hosting can make a difference in rankings and/or traffic with more than just them. In fact, it's very tempting to move a couple of sites back to being hosted in Canada because it was nice, targeted traffic.
