Recognising Inbound Links

I'm trying to get some incoming links to be read by Google. I have a few incoming links set up, and the pages on other sites that link to me are indexed by Google, but if I go link:www.mydomain.com I get no results.

There are no rel=nofollow thingies going on. They're not being passed through exit-tracking cgi scripts or anything. And one of those links is from dmoz.

However, site:www.mydomain.com returns nearly 200 pages, and Googlebot visits several times per week.

Any idea why those inbound links aren't acknowlesged? I'm really puzzled.

G just shows a "selection" of links, commonly people check links with Y! and assume G will have picked them up as well....
