Good old webmaster brain has release a new tool for checking your PR value across various data centers.
This tool will query Google's various data-centers, to check for any changes in PageRank values for a given URL. Usually all data-centers will output the same, but if queried during an update, you might get a glimpse of any upcoming changes in your sites PR values. (If I've missed any data-centers, let me know).

I'm impressed it is handy and when there are differing results you can look at that datacenter and see what is going on.

It can get a bit obsessive compulsive... I notice changes but am more obsessed with the actual SERPs... I'd take a PR1 for top listings

Yep, me too. Its amazing how many wouldn't though. Unbelievable some people. Look at my PR....whoa....but my rankings suck!
I think what I've come to terms with is that PR is a marketing guide and whilst it exists, we just won't escape it. I would be very glad if Google got rid of displaying it. The net might get some link order about it again.

True we never seem to be satisified with the results no matter how well we get them placed...

Nice tool. I like the presentation of the data.
Honestly, though, even if they got rid of PageRank, people would probably find something else to obsess over. (It's in our nature.)

It sure seems that page rank does not matter any more. My back links are going up, page rank down, and my placement for my keywords is getting better and better...

Well, it's a bit of fun :)
Looks like this one is more reliable than http://www.rustybrick.com/pagerank-prediction.php (which gave me very, very optimistic prediction..)

LOL, the two tools are very different. One is an estimated guess which should not be taken seriously and the other is looking at actual data centers.

Hi Rustybrick,
PageRank being what it is, the prediction tool is probably more suitable.. and a lot funnier :D
It's strange though, I've tried about 20 sites and there's only three for whom the predicted PageRank were unreasonable.. Have you had similar feedback?

Yes I had similar feedback and that is why it clearly states its for entertainment purposes only. Most experienced SEO's get a kick out of it. Its based on a formula that I came up with to estimate future pagerank. It is not a 100% accurate, there are flaws in the formula.

It is fun anyway :D , and a nice break from the difficult CPA and ROI reality

About PR prediction...
I personally prefer this method of predicting future PR (http://www.shifting-gears.com/crystal-ball.jpg).

I think there should be a new line of products at GoogleGear ... something along the lines of PR Mood Rings for the happy site owners whose PR is thru the roof. Their traffic may be in the crapper, but their ring is dark blue baby.

Sorry about that AW. I will edit out the link. It is from the How Things Work website, meant to be a joke. My popup blocker knocked out the popups and I did not even think about it or notice it myself.
