Is there a way to inform Google that I was the original article writer for my article content?

Very unwittingly I made a folder change about 3 months before Jagger and now all my articles that I wrote about development, seo & design from my site are considered duplicate content and not the original source - even though I've writen some of these articles two to three years ago.

How can I inform Google about this? I wish I could inform Matt Cutts of Google some how, but how? I'm sure he doesn't care, but what other options can I try. I'm already re-writing all of my articles just to make sure I don't get any duplication penalties, but it's getting ridiculous.

Even when I type in my name into a Google Search Articles posted on other sites will come up first for my name. And only the latest ones from the past three months will show up within the top 20 search results.

There's no official way.

But, you can, kind of sort of: publish the content on your site first and get it crawled first. The problem is that the search engines really consider the first time they find that content to be the content owner and all the other versions they find are duplicates.

This can help you or hurt you. I recommend that you publish your content on your site first and get it crawled. Then there's not going to be any issues if it's your content.

What about putting back those original article url's or Folders, but not post the actual content. Should I use a permanent 301 redirect and let the search engine know they have moved and maybe I'll get the credit back?
