I have a directory site which lists estate agents in various Spanish towns. I have a page for each town and each page is named similarly townname_estate_agents_01.htm.
The meta tags and 'free' text on each page are essentially identical except that the town name is changed to reflect the page being displayed. All pages are static.
Up to November last, I was getting returned on page 1 of Yahoo results for searches such as "estate agents fuengirola" (without the quotes).
Now my pages are way down the results and most strangely, Yahoo always returns the index page rather than the town page.
I have checked that the town pages are still indexed.
I use a permanent redirect in htaccess to the so that pages requested without the www. are redirected to www.page
I'd appreciate any insight into why this is happening.
