I cant stand it - I type in a 5 word search term in my Google toolbar search and because I suck at typing I'm looking at my keyboard not realizing it's already picked one of my earlier searches in the dropdown & when I'm finished typing it I'm looking at something I searched on this morning instead of what I'm eagerly trying to get to.

Can I turn this off?

If using a windows machine you should be able to un-install through the control panel - add and remove programs, sorry can say for Mac.

As I understood it you should just turn off auto fill-in. (in options of IE)

I dont want to uninstall it (toolbar without google?! gosh!) ;) but I did originally have Autofill off (I'm using Firefox)... Guess I'll turn off my "Save search history" - I'll probably do less retyping searches I'd to repeat than ones like above. :(
