Anyone knows where can I find good reading material on howmuch an
outgoing link is de-valued compared to the number of total outgoing
links on the same page by google?

Hi prestige, I may be wrong, but the only way you can get that data is probably working at the Googleplex or perhaps be reading Matt Cutt's mind. Haven't seen anything concrete, but it has been mentioned by numerous SEM's and SE Reps at SES conferences that the more links on a page, the less value they have in terms of "passing Pagerank," if that's what you are (mistakenly in my opinion) focusing on.
Did see a related study (http://www.webcredible.co.uk/user-friendly-resources/search-engine-optimisation/number-links.shtml) recently comparing pages with outbound links to pages without, that claimed that having outbound links at all increases a site's ability to rank in Google. Also, here is another interesting related paper (http://pr.efactory.de/e-outbound-links.shtml).

Thanks for the reading material.
Actually, all I rememmebered from reading in the past is somehow like you said.
Talks about de-valued PR passing through each link, determined by quantity.
I thought maybe Im missing some information.
Thank you the reading material btw. do you know if there is any truth in them?
(I dont like being fed with rumors, and I dont think I've heard of efactory.de)
Although their article looks interesting to read.. just getting to it.

sorry prestige I cannot vouch for either of the sources, they just happened to be on my list of possibly valid information. good luck finding your answer, and please let us know if you find some more related opinions...

I don't know about the other one, but actually efactory.de is considered one of the better resources around for explaining how PageRank works, as are Phil Craven's articles on PR at webworkshop.net.

On a slight tangent, IIRC the anchor text of a link can count for both the linking and the linked-to pages, so if the links are topical to the page content they're probably of more value than any theoretical loss of PR...

Found this case study... maybe it'll be valuable to some...
