Hi there!
I have a client that sells car insurance.
There is a third party site that compares the prices of all the major insurance carriers for the user - presumably to find the best priced insurance. The site has a page about my clients company (good review) with 2-3 text links back to my clients site. The title of of the page also uses my clients brand name. This makes complete sense as the page is about my client.
To me I say, so what! Plus there is the added benefit of qualified inbound links.
However, my client does not want to be included in this site at all. He also wants me to pursue this with Google regarding trademark infringement. My client does have a trademark with Google as they had similar problems with AdWords.
So, should we go directly to this third party and ask to be removed and/or file a complaint with Google? Where at Google would we pursue this if need be?
Thanks,
CaliGirl
