Hello,

I am looking for a software to help me manage my SEO work.
I need something that keeps notes of when and where I made changed, and what changes were these and the results of those changes.

some SEO tool that knows what we need to log.. a kind of an SEO journal.
It could be webby, but i'd prefer a local software to install on my PC.

What do you think?

I think any process that knows what you needs to do tends to oversimplify things and have you do patterns of things that other people are also doing. If whatever it suggests is both easy to do and enough people gain interest in it then the search engines will deweight it.

I use notepad, excel, and word to track stuff...and open office works decent and is free.

there is stuff like tada lists for web based simple project management

if a script is telling you what you need to do then what happens when one of your competitors is creative enough to be able to do things that the script can't or won't tell you to do?

I know what you're asking for, and I've often wondered about an efficient solution for the same thing.

It's pretty much note taking (and I have kept hand-written notes on changes), but it's how to organize them that can be an issue - by site, by keyword, current rankings by engine, and then chart subsequent ranking changes that can be traced back to when changes were made.

RC solved this by setting up a Personal Wiki some time ago if memory serves.
