Should I use the nofollow tag on my homepage (http://www.justoneuk.com)? I have just rebuilt it, and there are at least 20 shortcut links on there which are only for visitors benefit, am i just leaking PR by having them? would it help if i use the nofollow tag?
(it's not like google or yahoo need my endorsement)

is there actually a penalty for using the no follow tag? I read this in another SEW thread,

Once added, the search engines supporting the attribute will understand that the link has not been vetted in some way by the site owner. Think of it as a way to flag to them, "I didn't post this link -- someone else did."
well it's not like i haven't vetted those links  so would i be penalised in some way, as they don't really need vetting

thanks in adv......

I have never bought into the theory that a site could "leak" their PageRank.

That being said, the nofollow attribute essentially means that you do not trust the site you are linking to so it is fine to link to other sites as you will not "leak" your own PR but if you do not wish to pass any link popularity to them, then you can use the nofollow attribute. Also, no there is no penalty in using this tag.
