Looking on Y! search - the sites that are also in the directory are not carrying over the edited Title and Description.
Perhaps it was hurting their business.

Perhaps it was hurting their business.
People have realised that you can loose traffic from organic listings because they use the Directory description in their algo...
I guess they are not sure what to do because the descriptions are back again - but Yahoo is currently updating and the serps are moving wildly.

Yes, you’re right. This is a weird thing because you’re paying money to select Title & description for your business in order to optimize the ad.
I hope Yahoo! do something about this dilemma too.
