O.K..I have watched this forum for a few months now. About 2 months ago I started my first online site - allinpokertournaments.com. I created it by myself and for a NEWBIE I am pretty pleased with the results. I have followed your advice and collected as many back links as possible, created good content, tried to get good anchor text and focused on my keywords. I am not going to ask when the next PR update is coming or how long till I get out of the sandbox..I have used the tools like link popularity, keyword suggestion tools, Etc. I have good results on Yahoo and MSN but not on google (which seems to be the norm from what I have gathered.) If anyone would like to take the time to give the site a quick once over and see if there are any GLARING problems I would appreciate it. If this requests is inappropriate then would a moderator quickly delete my post before I embarass myself!! Thanks for all of the great posts..I have never posted before but I have been watching and trying to learn.

The site is poker related and I thought that us "poker guys" took our passion seriously until I started reading this forum..You "SEO guys" are way more intense!!! LOL..Thanks in Advance

The good news is that G has indexed 500+ pages from your site, the bad news is they're all supplemental results, and on top of that, G shows no links or related search results for the site, first thing I'd do is go through all your links and make sure none are banned in G.

As for why they're supplemental results I'm not sure, there's a number of possibilities, non spider friendly urls, duplicate content, "thin affiliate" and probably a few more, but nothing's immediately obvious to me....

I went through all of my links using a google banned tool. (it took me a while to find it but, I finally found it!!) I found one link on my site that was questionable and removed it. Here is the message that the tool gave me:

www.rules-of-poker.net - Is this URL Optimised for search engines?
Site: www.rules-of-poker.net
1st Check.........
"This site is not banned from Google"
2nd Check (using a slightly different method).
"Google again cannot see this website. Its probably banned if not a fresh site."

This site shows a PR of 4/10. Is it banned or is it O.K??


Next, I have another domain name pokeringa.com that I picked up for a future project. Anybody who types the web address in is re-directed to my main allinpoker site that I listed in the first post..Is that O.K. or could that be hurting me??
