MSN has opened its Adcenter facility in France. It's all in French at the moment of course - but it's a very different interface to Google or Overture. Even the credit card facility isn't especially user friendly.
Interestingly, MSN has made the assumption that those booking ads will be French - which many will - but it's somewhat surprising that they haven't made the interface available in other languages - yet.
You can view the interface in English, however, if you're looking at Singapore.
A French SEM is quoted (see Multilingual Search blog via my signature for more details) as saying in the 6 months test which MSN has run with 10 big brands and 30 smes, they've been getting click through rates of 10-15%.
I'm not sure I think that's all that impressive a figure - what's the conversion and cost of conversion would be more interesting.
Will the demographics count? Male or female is probably useful, time of day I'm sure all SEMs use now anyway through APIs, it will be interesting to see.
Do share if you're testing like we are....
