View Full Version : submission frequency
I have a website with a good ranking in google and other engines wiht a PR of 5 . I was wondering if to keep the rankings intact i have to re submit my pages to google or any other search engine or it just takes care of the rankings by itself . And what if my rankings are reduced then do i nned to submit the pages ?

No need to submit at all. With a PR5 your site should be gettting crawled on a regular basis. Increasing the number of inbound links will help ensure that your site keeps getting crawled.
What you mean by inbound links ? you means link of mysite on somebody elses website. ??

Your question is somewhat confusing. Can you please clarify?
Thanks sem for your answer..

What i meant was ..My site has some pages which are listed in google and other search engines in top 5 positions, and there are some other pages which are from 5-20 position and so on. When i saw the page rank of my site from google toolbar it said 5/10 . So what my question is with this scenario do i have to submit my pages (which are already appearing in se) regularly to SE to keep my position intact or does the SE take care of this itself and i dont need to submit pages regularly. Because someone told that you have to keep resubmittiing the pages to keep your positions intact othwerwise you lose positions.
Just want to make sure if this is true

You don't have to submit or re-submit. The engines come back and crawl sites again on their own once they know about it.
