Hello everyone, I'm not sure if this is the correct area to post this message but I am very new to the whole SEO marketing field and we require your assistance. We have been on contact with several professional and freelance supposed SEM and all of them seem to have a different opinions and advice. As you can imagine we are extremely frustrated and was wondering if some of you could take a look at our website and offer some quality advice on what we need to improve in order to obtain top organic listings.

We have tried the exact same strategy as some of our competitors but was unsuccessful. Why are they maintaining top listings and we are not. Our website URL is www.vwebwristbands.com

So far we have been comparing our SEO efforts to the following websites and found that we must of been doing something wrong.

Could someone please help, we are currently encountering huge expenditures with paid listing services provided by Yahoo (overture) and AdWords. What must we do to establish a good balance between paid and organic listings?

Please help we desperately require some assistance and guidance.

Thanks

Welcome to the forums :)

We usually do not do full site reviews here but are mostly focused on specific issues and questions. In this forum focused on issues with dynamic websites.

In any case, the forums probably won't give you exactly the same as hirering a good ferm or person to help you. In these forums you will also find a lot of different opinions about things. That is because there often is no "correct" answer to various issues but many different possible solutions.

> What must we do to establish a good balance between paid and organic listings?

I guess the question in this case is more about how you can increase the percentage of organic visitors vs paid, right? :) Thats what we all want ...

It's really not that complicated - but it does take a lot of work. Here is the simplified checklist:

1) Make sure all your pages can be reached by search engine spiders and that there are no "clutter" that can confuse them, such as duplicate pages, infinite loops etc.

2) Make sure that the pages the spiders crawl have sufficient readable text, good navigation, document titles, headlines etc focused on the keywords you want to rank well for.

3) Get as many (theme related) websites to link to you with relevant keyords in the link

Thats really about it :)
I know it's not as simple as that. It takes work. A lot of it. If you look around this forum you will find a lot of help on how to do each of the above steps the best way. Please ask specifics if you need help on any of it ....

richardsi - You don't have nearly enough inbound links to compete for the keywords you're targeting.

Concur on the links thing, also a quick look at the site left me somewhat confused as to whether you're trying to highlight your wristband manufacturing facilities, or your "patriotic bands".
