TrustRank and Good Seed Algos?

Search Engine Optimization
Search Engine Marketing

are possible two of the most SEOd terms.

Looking at the three sites added to Page One this morning
from virtually nowhere near the first page previously

Search Engine Watch
Overture
SEMPO

This is possibly the beginning of TRUSTRANK implementation in ALGOs
and GOOD SEED - implementation in LINK POPULARITY

Web spam pages use various techniques to achieve higher-than-deserved rankings in a search engine's results. While human experts can identify spam, it is too expensive to manually evaluate a large number of pages. Instead, we propose techniques to semi-automatically separate reputable, good pages from spam. We first select a small set of seed pages to be evaluated by an expert. Once we manually identify the reputable seed pages, we use the link structure of the web to discover other pages that are likely to be good. In this paper we discuss possible ways to implement the seed selection and the discovery of good pages.

have notice this same pattern repeated on many popular SEOd terms SERPs

Well then if it's manually seeded it's time to break out your google cheeleading outfits guys. That's the new authority on the block. I wonder if a GG welcome sign on a site will help...

Sounds like the type of crap they'd want you to believe. I wonder how long it would take G to pick manual seeds from billions of sites.

Anyways search engine optimization is a very broad term. It covers alot of things and to tell you the truth forums, organizations, articles, pay per click companies, and seo's are all ranking on page 1. Looks like a perfect definition for the term search engine optimization and not who wins this months link building award.

Now if you narrow your search to a more specific term by tacking company or services on the end you'll notice all the related sites are trimmed and all thats left is very specific results.

I don't see what you are seeing. Checked quite a few DCs and I still seeing the same results, basically the same as they have been since the day that seoinc took a hit.

With so many sites in the top 1000 for these search terms linking to these, localrank may explain this, maybe they just increased it's importance in this update?

Can we rule this out?

I'd just like to make sure that major changes like this can't be explained with existing algorithms.

This was discussed quiet a bit in Feb. when it first popped up. This was a good overview and the link to the white paper:

Is there any proof that trustrank has been implemented?
