When using Yahoo search, if I type in "german cities" for example, and then later begin to type something that starts with "g" the whole phrase german cities pops up again on my search engine. I know that i can just either keep typing or delete the phrase, but this is annoying. How do I stop the search engine from showing old searches in the search bar?

Is it a search engine issue or an operating system issue - like with auto-completion with Windows?

To be honest I know very little about computers. But after reading your message, I have begun to notice that this ( meaning the auto completion) happens for a lot of things on my computer. The only difference is that in yahoo search engine or other search engine, there is a list of past searches on a little scroll bar under the search bar. But as you pointed out, this does happen in other areas so it might be t he auto completion part.
