Here is the deal.

I have two kinds of campaigns running in google...one where the java tracking code is placed on the thank you page after a customer makes a purchase (tracking a sale), and a second campaign where the same java tracking code is placed on the thank you registration page after someone signs up an email newsletter (tracking a sign up.)

My conversion stats in my Google account for the campaign that I am tracking sales for, shows more conversions than sales we are actualy getting, because people coming from the creative are also signing up for the newsletter, and not making a sale.

and vice versa.

Is there anyway to track these initiatives seperately?

Is there anyway to track these initiatives separately?Heidi9771, sounds as if you need the 'advanced' version of conversion tracking, which you would set up within your account, starting with the 'Conversion Tracking' link near the top of Campaign Management pages. It allows you to track several different things.

Here is some more info:

And here is a link to the full conversion tracking FAQ:

Also, if you need assistance with your particular situation, feel free to write AdWords support from within the account in question - and they'll be able to advise/assist.
