Any comments or suggestions please:

We are running several ads to promote or area, newspapers, mags ect. I would like to be able to track visitor traffic by putting unique URL's in the ads. Wanting to be able to identify which ads receive more traffic. Would we be considered spamming by forewording/ redirecting the url's to our "Main page"? Duplicate content... or will this work in using Extreme tracker for our web stats?

On a second note in the stats programs these days we see more and more "No Refferal" when looking at search string referals. Is this due to the increase of security(firewalls, anti spyware ect?

If you plan on doing print ads, I would display a unique URL string on the ad. You do not want it to be too long or with tons of extraneous characters because the chances of the ad viewer remembering the domain name or typing it into a browser will be unlikely. I recommend buying a unique domain that you would only use for print ads and redirect it to your main site. This would not be looked upon as spammy and it will allow you to track the ROI of your print ad campaign.
