Our Member GOTseo mentioned here, "I'll put money on it that they will have a 20% share within 2 years."

And AndrewGoodman said, "You're on!", so to make this open and trackable I've started a poll. What do you think?

Feel welcome to comment your position.

I do hope they get 20% or more down the line, I love Ask Jeeves/Teoma. However, 2 years . . . no way! That's my take.

They could do it if Yahoo, Google, and MSN sat still and didn't do anything about it - which is unlikely to happen....

Its more likely that Andrew Goodman will have a 20% share imho.

I'll take that bet.

We can make it for dinner at a SES conference sometime in the future... Your choice of restrautn.. (as long is its reasonable)

there is 9 people so far, do you want to put a limit?

I think its possible but improbable.

its more likely that MSN will achieve 40% marketshare.

I wil always think of them as the little guys, hard for me to get past that.

I certainly wish that they gain 20% or more.

I'll take up to 15 bets for dinner.

I hope they get 20%, but I think 10-15% is much more likely and achievable. They're sitting between 4-7% now, yes? It's not too far a stretch, but the competition is very strong and very stiff. They would need to have something revolutionary, like the next "blog" or "tagging"... Who knows what that might be...

I wonder who is going to keep track by the time we hit SES San Jose 2007?

That's two years, right?

Yah.. good point.. I'll put it in my schedule.

I think I need some names for my list of people that will be buying me dinner. We will aslo somehow have to extend the show for 15 days.. :D

2 years is about 2 years 2 soon.

I hope they do it but I don't think it likely in 2 years. A solid 10 - 15% is more doable.

Looks like the poll says no... :(
