Hi everyone;

I have notice that Yahoo! Slurp machine is crawling & indexing my site faster than Google.
Is there any reason why?
:confused:

For the top 3 engines i see the crawling frequency in the following order (from log analysis)

1. MSN
2. Google
3. Yahoo!

MSN being the fastest of the 3 to both crawl and include in the SERPs

Wish I could say the same, Yahoo takes forever to index my new sites with numerous inbound links.

I changed the title of the thread to "Yahoo! Slurp faster than Googlebot... ", which seemed more appropiate to not confuse Members.

I tend to think that both crawlers have their unique formats of retrieving pages, where Slurp uses a random walk method until it hits a dead end or leaves and Googlebot takes pages based on layers.

However, I think the real speed is defined by how fast the pages go from crawled to evaluated to indexed to ranked and ready for the user. Has anyone measure these speeds?
