Recently with a client of mine I have noticed the search engine spiders have been making it to a page which activates an EXE file. Is this possible for a search engine spider to activate an executable?

No they can't. The can 'crawl' and and possibly read to dataset (the executable) but can't understand the information presented as they have not been progammed to do so.

A bit your seeing a website in a foreign language... you can physical see the infomation available but it's total jibberish to you.
