I just logged in a few minutes ago and recieved several warnings from teatimer, a spyware detector that is an optional component with Spybot.

Teatimer asked if I wanted to allow the Google toolbar to update several components - backlinks, cache and a few others. (For the record, if I had not been running it, G would have installed these things quietly and I probably would not have noticed).

My G toolbar now shows v. 2.0.113-big/en (GGLD)

As a moderator I usually associate this type of update with forum posts immediately afterwards from people panicking about all their backlinks disappearing, etc. Not always, but often. Just a heads up.

You had me going for a minute there, Ian. When I read the title I thought they updated TBPR.

Mine shows v. 2.0.114.9-big/en (GGLD)

Yep, yep, mine is the same as yours Marcia.

Oops - thats what mine says now, as well - it must not have fully updated until I did a reload. So the new value is v. 2.0.114.9-big/en (GGLD) and it was v. 2.0.113-big/en (GGLD) before the update.

Even i thought it was GTB update seeing the title of this thread, I feel google updating their toolbar is just an normal event,

>>Yes but only because you agreed to it.

That's not being disputed, so therefore there's no need for argument. It was merely mentioned since it was done without fanfare, and having been noticed a post was made announcing it.
