I was playing with MSN Search Beta and also reading MSN Search Blog when I decided to feed the keywords "MSN Search Blog" to Google, YSearch, and MSN Search Beta.

Try it for yourself.

If MSN hasn't tweaked those keywords yet, your results should be the same as those in my blog post. (http://minger.org/index.php/2004/11/23/msn_search_beta_stiffs_msn_search_blog)

I guess MSN is having problems with associations in some sense.

it looks like its somewhat ignoring "msn" and just looking up "search blog", where SEW blog, seroundtable, and other blog like sites come up.

Searching Beta for "Yahoo Search Blog" returns http://ysearchblog.com and related archives for the first and second positions. http://blog.searchenginewatch.com/blog is listed third.

MSN Search Blog mentions in their most recent post (http://blogs.msdn.com/msnsearch/archive/2004/11/23.aspx) how 25% of their revelance feedback involves vanity searches...
