I'm not trying to promote my site, I have a genuine question. I have a blog where I talk about many things, frats, F1, politics... Each post is given its own URL. Ok here is the question. When I search for "garage takeover" my blog is linked to it, but not my entries about garage takeover. Google links to articles I wrote about trebuchets and Formula 1, not the articles about Garage Takeover. Those articles have links to the articles I have written about Garage Takeover, but they are obviously about unrelated topics.

Garage Takeover is a tv show that will be on the Discovery Channel. I don't want to break the rules here, so I won't link to my blog, if you want to find it, you can search for my username "yorkpaddy" in google, it comes up as the third from the top.

So when I visit the site you mention, the title of the blog home page is "Paddy's Ramblings" and there are many things being discussed in addition to the Garage Takeover show.

In other words, this isn't a page about the show -- it's a constantly changing page that might mention it.

In constrast, a Google search for garage takeover brings up an inside page from the site. That page is completely focused on Garage Takeover and not other topics.

Ideally, you'd have a blog/site just about Garage Takeover and keep your existing blog as something that focuses on other topics.

This is a common problem for the home page of blogs. You might look over some tips I wrote on blog optimization: Loving Each Other More: Search Engines & Blogs (http://searchenginewatch.com/sereport/article.php/2175261).

you can place an item or marketing message or whatever in the template of your home page if you want something to be consistantly there
